PORT PLACEMENT/REMOVAL
An indwelling central venous tunneled catheter, also known as a port a cath, is usually placed for ongoing chemotherapy to treat cancer or for someone who needs a long-term IV for other reasons (antibiotics, fluids). Dr. Chaudhry places these devices and also will remove them in an outpatient setting.
